Ever wonder how a gemstone is cut? This clip nicely illustrates the process from start to extremely fine finish.
It features a remarkable gem called Zultanite. Like the Alexandrite I showed in an earlier post Zultanite has a astonishing colour change property. It is a relatively new gem and has attracted considerable attention recently!
The gem is being cut into a snowflake by third generation master gem cutter, innovator of the snowflake cut, close personal friend, and mentor of mine Rudi Wobito.
I just got off the phone with Sandi. Her and her fiance Kevin are getting married in a couple of weeks.
It sounds like it’ll be one magical day. The ceremony will take place on a dock right over the water. Awesome!
I look forward to seeing some of thier pictures and sharing them with you.
In the mean time I have posted a picture of their rings. Notice the undulating curves of her ring mirrored in his. A dynamic pair of rings for a truly dynamic couple.
Thanks for allowing me to participate in such a special part of your lives Sandi and Kevin. Best wishes for Fun, Excitement, and Magic on your wedding day and for the rest of your lives together!
One of the most unique features of Francois and Jennifer’s ring … the ruby set inside the ring just beneath the diamond.
Why ruby? It is believed to promote, deepen, and strengthen love. These effects are even more powerful when the gem makes contact with the skin.
I did this upon their request but loved the idea so much I had to share it with you.
Congratulations to Francois and Jennifer on their engagement!
Aperfectmatch!
The first couple to enjoy my illustration so much they asked to have it framed. Thanks so much guys! It was a pleasure and honour assisting you with your ring.
I uploaded MANY new images of custom jewellery I’ve made for people recently and will be doing so often so keep your eyes peeled! I’ll also be posting some historically important vintage pieces and tones of useful content too!
Jeffrey’s life long passion for rare, unique, and exquisite coloured gems and diamonds conspire with his classical design sensibility and contemporary aesthetic to bring his exquisite creations to life.
His jewellery is often imbibed with the same decadence and romance that emanates from his charming personality. His rugged good looks? … they’re the icing on the cake!
